Share your Winter Wonderland cosplay photos!

By Riot Yuka

Oh, my sweet summer child. What do you know of cosplay? Cosplay is for the winter, my little Summoner, when the snows fall a hundred feet deep and the ice wind comes howling out of the north. Cosplay is for the long night, when your siblings are hogging the PC for years at a time, and your parents’ unstable Wi-Fi blips in and out in the darkness while your team’s Warwick can’t get his Devourer sated and the enemy team stalk through your jungle.

Er, except that it's currently summer in Oceania. Well, you were the same brave cosplayers that threw yourselves a Pool Party in the middle of winter, so now it's time to rug up in the middle of summer! Fire up those sewing machines and let the costume be born.

Our Winter-themed Roundup is here! Send us your best cosplay photos themed around winter, Christmas, Snowdown or other seasonal inspiration. Dress up as your favourite champion, create an outfit you think they would wear during the winter, and get creative with your photos. Decorate a room or go for an adventure outside to find somewhere inspiring (but make sure to bring your dragonglass… I mean, your Kircheis Shard) and show us how you celebrate the holidays wherever you’re from!

Submission Rules:

  1. We’re accepting cosplays of all League of Legends champions, either in official winter-themed skins, or original fan-designed winter outfits.
  2. Your costume does not have to be newly made for this competition, and costumes purchased from online cosplay shops are accepted!
  3. You must submit a photograph of a person wearing your full costume (it doesn’t have to be you if you’re feeling shy). We are not accepting photos of costumes on mannequins, photos of League of Legends themed make-up or fan art.
  4. Entries will be judged on the following criteria: recognisability of the champion, photo composition, and effort put into choosing an appropriate background for the photo.
  5. PhotoShop editing is allowed for minor retouching and special effects, however please avoid creating purely digital costumes or fabricating entire backgrounds.
  6. You can submit up to three photos of your costume. We're only taking submissions formatted in .jpg or .png; the maximum file size is 5MB and minimum dimensions are 600 x 600px (but the larger, the better!) Any of these three photos may appear on leagueoflegends.com or on associated Riot Games Twitter accounts.
  7. You must submit an additional (fourth) photograph to prove the costume belongs to you. A photo of your summoner name written on a piece of paper next to parts of your costume on a desk will suffice. This photo will not be published and is only used to verify entries.
  8. Finally, your submission must abide by our TOU, so keep in mind your photo can’t include any logos, advertisements, product names or product placements (with the exception of League of Legends esports team logos, or photographer watermarks). Also make sure your picture is appropriate for players of all ages: League is rated Teen, so nothing too sexy!
