FakeGod Gets Real | 2021 LCS Spring
Aaron Lee ("FakeGod") didn't have the debut he had hoped for in the LCS, but now on Dignitas, he knows the LCS is exactly where he should be.
We’re excited to reveal the full details of a new competitive format that gives OCE players more chances to compete, climb, and reach the TFT Fates OCE Regional Finals.
We’re currently working with ORDER to host 3 Qualifier Series events:
These events will culminate in the OCE Regional Finals, taking place on March 11-14.
Qualifier Series events will have multiple options for player qualification:
Each Regional Qualifier event will feature a prize pool of $3500 AUD.
The ORDER team will operate Riot’s official ladder snapshots in OCE for TFT Fates. These will be taken weekly on Wednesdays, starting 1/6/21 at 12:01AM AEDT, and will accumulate throughout the set as one method of qualification to each of the Qualifier Events as well as the OCE Regional Finals. Ladder rankings will be available at ocetft.com/ladder.
Points will be distributed to the top 75 players according to their placement on the ladder at the time of each snapshot. Please note that players must play a minimum of 10 games each week to be eligible for that week's points. Additionally, only permanent OCE residents and non-Riot employees are eligible for tournament invites based on ladder snapshots.
ORDER will host one Open Qualifier per Closed Qualifier event. There are no rank or ladder requirements for registration. Sign ups, format and other eligibility information can be found at ocetft.com.
The OCE Regional Finals will have four options for player qualification:
The OCE Regional Finals will feature a prize pool of $6500 AUD.
Please note that a player can only qualify for Finals through one of the above categories. If a player qualifies in multiple categories, they will only be counted once and their spot in the remaining categories will go to the player with the next best record in their second form of qualification. The hierarchy of qualification methods starts with Qualifier 2 winners, and proceeds to cumulated points, ladder snapshots, and finally, the Last Chance Open Qualifier.
The Ladder Snapshots for Finals will function the same as throughout the Qualifier events. These will be taken weekly on Wednesdays and will accumulate throughout the Set. Points will be distributed to the top 75 players according to their placement on the ladder at the time of each snapshot. 16 players from the ladder will qualify for Finals. Please note that players must play a minimum of 10 games each week to be eligible for that week's points. Additionally, only permanent OCE residents and non-Riot employees are eligible for tournament invites based on ladder snapshots. Snapshots may vary slightly based on patch cadences. Details will be provided on ocetft.com/ladder.
8 players with the best performance from the Qualifier events will qualify directly into the OCE Regional Finals.
The top 4 players from OCE Qualifier 2 on February 12-14 will automatically move on to the OCE Regional Finals.
We’ll be hosting one last chance open qualifier on March 1-7, which will qualify 4 players for the OCE Regional Finals. Any player can register for this open qualifier, regardless of points or previous experience in any Qualifier events. Registration information will be released at a later date.
The top 8 of the TFT Fates OCE Regional Finals will be broadcast on twitch.tv/riotgamesoce on Sunday, March 14th. More details will be announced closer to the event.
To follow along with the Regional Qualifier events and top 32 of the Regional Finals, stay tuned to @TFT and @ORDER_army on Twitter, where we’ll be sharing information about additional channels streaming these events.
