I sincerely apologize for the delays and confusion happening during APAC Tacticians Trials ~ Cup I. And I also want to express my gratitude to all the participating players for your understanding. Here are the updated rules to achieve better operational efficiency:

Ladderboard Snapshot / Rank Lock Clarification

Confirming that almost all top-tier players prefer the ladder qualification method, we plan to exempt ladder seed participants from the Trials.

  • I: Total Ladder Points from Week 1~4

  • II: Total Ladder Points from Week 1~7

Tiebreakers

During Trials I, there was confusion due to tiebreaker rules varying by regions and tournaments. From Trials II onwards, the official global tiebreaker rule will be applied to every situation. The rule is as follows:

• Total Tournament Points (accumulated tournament point from Day 1~3)

• Highest number of wins and Top 4s in the tournament stage (wins are counted twice).

• Highest number of placements for each position achievable in a lobby (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.) in the tournament stage.

• Finishing position in the most recent game in the tournament stage followed by position in each previous game (i.e. Game 5, 4, 3, etc.)

• For reseeding between lobbies, if players are unable to be differentiated by the above methods, they will be sorted randomly between the positions they are tied for.

Cutoffs in Tacticians Trials

Many players in the lower ranks of Trials often forfeit or do not play properly. To improve operational efficiency and player experience, I am adding additional cutoffs for Day 2 and 3.

• Day 1: 25% cutoff after Game 4

• + Day 2~3: 12.5% cutoff after Game 4

APAC TFT Regional Competitions (TRC)

To promote local-level third-party tournaments and local community development, two slots out of the 16 in Trials will be replaced by the winners of each regional competition. For Trials II, the top 15 will advance to the Cup, and from Trials III onwards, the top 14 will advance.

• Set 12 Trials I: Indonesia, Philippines (TBD)

• Set 12 Trials II: Oceania, Singapore/Malaysia (TBD)

• Email verification is no longer required on the website.

• Official Trials Tournament Discord links will be sent through email to those only who have completed the registration process.

• Check-in for Trials will be conducted through each tournament Discord channels
